Michael and Felicity get Married!

On Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, Michael and Felicity got married. The ceremony and reception was in Princeton, New Jersey.

Here's my story of the weekend. If anyone else wants to contribute their version, please feel free!

Harry drove to Larchmont and picked me up on Friday before the wedding (Thanks Harry!). We drove to Princeton and checked into the hotel. We got a suite, which gave us all a place to gather together.

Then we played Titan -- I won.

That evening was the rehearsal dinner, to which Harry and I had been invited. This was quite nice, and we met Felicity's family for the first time (and Michael's too, of course, but we had already met them). We also enjoyed meeting Phil's wife, Kim, who bore our banter with good grace. Then we guys adjourned to the hotel, where we ate hugely of unhealthy foods, spoke rudely to each other, made fun of Michael, and pummelled him with gifts and trinkets. Roll call: Bill, Don, Harry, me, Michael, Steve, Phil, and Robert Thomas.

The next day was the wedding, at which Harrry made a pest of himself with the camcorder. But he did get some pictures, as you can see below. Everybody had a fun time. The music was great.

After the reception, Don, Harry, Julie, me and Steve adjourned to the hotel and the inevitable games of Titan. Game One: Don eliminates Steve and wins! Game Two: My record shows me just ahead of Steve on points, but no final winner is indicated.

Then we played a little D&D (Julie too! That's a precedent! Take note!) with characters by Don and adventure by me.

In the morning, Harry beat me in a quick game of Titan, and Don beat both of us in a quick game of TitanPlus.

Julie and I drove Steve to the airport and made our way home, content and well-pleased with the weekend.

The Wedding in Pictures

The bride and groom after the ceremony. You couldn't have asked for a day with better weather, especially in January.

The wedding party. Robert Thomas is far left; Michael's mom is third from left; his brother Bill is on the step above his mom and next to Michael; Felicity's dad is to the right of her; I think that's her mom immediately right of her dad. Michael, want to supply more names?

Here are Michael and Felicity at the reception for the traditional cutting of the cake. Which, by the way, was really tasty!

During the reception, several hooligans and miscreants defaced Michael's Jeep in hideous ways! No one would admit to the misdeeds, but this shot by Harry suggests the identity of at least one of them.
