Summary of Past Events

As recorded by Abrac Adabra

On the Planet of Teth was set a typical Fantasy World in a pseudo-Greek mythos. The Gods were rather active in this world and this activity increased as time went on.

Some Background

The reign of each of the Mythos of Man lasts approximately 10 to 75 thousand years. The gods of the demi-humans always exist but are never more powerful than those of man.

On Teth, the end of the Mythos (the "End of the Cycle") is near. To destroy one mythos and bring about the Time of Chaos (when men are godless and must form the new images which they can worship) happens when all the pieces to the artifact, The Staff of the Ultimate, are assembled. The Druids decide when the time is right and when the Staff is brought together. The Greek gods, like all the gods before them, believed that they could stop this reconstruction of the Staff and ensure eternal rule.

We Might Remember

Therm Island, land of exploding rocks. Here the party had to face Medusa and rooms full of Ocre Jelly.

Sai Island. Griffins and strange ability drain/transferring devices were found here. This also became the retirement home of old PCs. Marvin "the Piggy Fighter" settled here and later it became home of a certain feebleminded Monk.

The Country of Cheon, land of centaurs. A war between centaurs and Drow, started here.

Run-away Namu, the strange power-child.

The nasty city of Ares, where you thought everyone and his mother was chaotic evil (and they were).

Justin the Paladin of Apollo. The goody-goody-pain-in-the-ass with the bow.

The Well of Hecate. A dungeon found in the middle of the plains. This dungeon contained two passages to different worlds, a world of ancient mists and pyramids, and the other a passage from which a new demon invasion (led by the Queen-Bitch herself) was to originate. When discovered by the Clerics and MUs of Hecate, they moved in and occupied the premises. The characters destroyed this gate and prevented a great evil.

Ham the Kid.

Dave's sword, Glowing potions, blocks of air, the 9 arrows of Alignment, food pills, etc.

Politics in the city of Tine.

Astrologer's Fork - here there were a tribe of ogres, cave bears and a odd old gentleman in a domed building with Stone Guardians, a telescope and other strange devices.

The large moving well and the Sapphire Dragon. Here, also were passages to other worlds. The training of Jagger the Opal Dragon took place in one of these "fast" worlds. The 28-year vacation occurred. A colony was established.

The Quest for a piece of the Staff. The trip to another world. A jungle, a slave-city (Mepal), a fight at the top of a pyramid, undead by the hundreds.

Demeter (the goddess) dies.

The tracking down of a lesser titan, the subsequent raid on a fortress, and the discovery of The Top.

The exploration done for Dak the Dwarf-Lord and his town, discovering a dungeon with acid pits and the Dagger.

We Prepare to Leave

Abrac (NPC) returns with The Top and plans to leave the doomed world. He asked all of you (plus some other NPCs) to accompany him to the next world in (closer to the binary suns).

A problem confronted you immediately: the air supply. After hiring sages to research into the various methods that produce the most oxygen, they came up with a partial solution to your problem.

Some other ingenious ways were devised to make your precious air last longer for the group. A monk in the party is in a trance half of the time, and thus uses half the air. Abrac has a Necklace of Adaptation which reduces one more person's oxygen needs by half. Two of the three Stasis tubes are still operational (from the Astrologer's Fork) and contain NPC female-types. The magical block of Solid Air is an aid in replacing any lost atmosphere. And last but not least: Mike's character who "Flesh to Stoned" himself breathless.

After provisioning the ship with all sorts of useful items (some magical, others mundane), you took off. The time for the trip should be approximately 100-120 days.
