[A dialog between me, as Whorfin, and Michael, as GM]

Abracon: Joseph Greensleeve's Current Turn

Abracon: Mike, the orb does not look like a gem. It is very, very magical-like. It hovers and moves about. Its edges are not distinct; it throbs with power

Abracon [repeating from my turn]:I am currently in a Shrine near the elf village where I came ashore. I learned that the largest town, the one I have to visit -- is called Yallambi. Also, my Divination spell told me, "Elu Tintollo -- and be silent!" The first part is someone's name. I summoned a centaur for inspiration and decided that I had to rethink my approach. Here's what I do. Ask the centaur to tell me his name. Give him my thanks for coming and the +1 Dagger from the Morkoth Lair. Ask him to meet me again in a few days.

Abracon: The centaur tells you his name is Koob D'nah. (Koob for short)

Aiwendil: I tell him I am also known as Edooig Mmmmmmd.

Aiwendil: The mission is he will meet me outside the elf lands...

Aiwendil: we will then travel into the heart of the elf realm ...

Aiwendil: I do not expect him to fight for me...

Aiwendil: And I will pay him and cast good magic on him... and he will just seem like my associate.

Abracon: He takes your +1 dagger and agrees.

Abracon: He says, these lands are not true Fay anymore

Aiwendil: I tell him that I am here to bring the true essence of Fairy to the land.

Aiwendil: And drive the foul worship away.

Aiwendil: I tell him that I am here to bring the true essence of Fairy to the land.

Abracon: "All by yourself," he asks sarcastically?

Aiwendil: Then I take out the orb and show it.

Aiwendil: I explain that it is a Holy Sign from the Great God of the Elves.

Aiwendil: Then I ask him to touch it to receive the Orb's blessing (as I hold it).

Abracon: And he does it.

Abracon: When he touches it he gets a bit dizzy....

Abracon: but then comes around.

Aiwendil: I tell him that he can feel the power of it.

Abracon: He says, "Use your magic to call me!"

Aiwendil: Then I'll tell him that I will be in disguise when next he sees me...

Aiwendil: But he will know me from the call of my spell

Abracon: And he trots off.

Aiwendil: So then I set off posthaste back to the village.

Abracon: mark off a day

Abracon [repeating from my turn]: Then rush back to the village from which I came. Stay only long enough to have lunch and tell people I see that sudden urgent business calls me back north. Then swim off in the direction from which I came.

Abracon: It will be lunch of the next day ... you get in late.

Abracon: the shrine was 1/2 day out.

Abracon [repeating from my turn]: Swim half a day north. Stop when I see a rock formation I will recognize. This being the next day, I'll have two stone shapes prayed for. I'll borrow a page from the Abrac Adabra book of security -- stone shape out a hollow, deposit items within, then smooth it back over. In the hollow I will put EVERY possession I have EXCEPT:

easily concealed spell components (including three true sight components)

non-magic holy symbol (hidden)

clothing

seven 25 gp gems and 25 gp

Staff of Me

Rings of Inner Planes (worn)

Lucky Mended Iron Arrow of Death and Direction

+2 Dagger

Potion of Invis - 2 doses

Paper, ink, quill

the Orb of Good

Aiwendil: Note that clothing includes my normal vestments ....

Aiwendil: Under my civvies.

Aiwendil: By the way, I know my memory sucks...

Aiwendil: So I will try very hard to make this memorable!!!

Abracon: 1) Find a memorable spot -- one my arrow can find.

Abracon: Inside the rock hollow I make...

Aiwendil: I'll shape a set of stairs!

Aiwendil: Since my arrow can find stairs...

Aiwendil: And since this has to be the only stairs around...

Aiwendil: This will work fine.

Abracon: hold on a sec while I roll this sleaze!

Aiwendil: I may have to wait one more day for the extra stone shape spell.

Abracon: wait 2 to make the stairs big enough for the arrow to find.

Abracon [repeating from my turn]: That's it. No armor, no other magic items, no other mundane items. Then I'll shave my head bald (with the +2 dagger) and head off inland. It is, of course, important for me to find my way back, so I will do everything possible to imprint this spot on my mind.

Abracon: When you bought things in Yallambi....

Abracon: everyone commented on your gold pieces.

Abracon: how they were imperials from new avo.

Aiwendil: Ah. Even the Morkoth coins?

Abracon: no not those

Abracon: those you can use -- they were very nondescript

Aiwendil: Instead of seven 25 gp gems and 25 gp,

Aiwendil: I'll take 7 gems and Morkoth coins...

Abracon: Shaving your head will make you not fit in.

Abracon: I told you of the style here.

Abracon: half dreadlockian.

Abracon: left for married, right for single

Aiwendil: See, there is no way I could fit in...

Aiwendil: So I want to seem different in a NEW way.

Aiwendil: I want to circle around for at least three days travel outside the Elf lands.

Aiwendil: Then call my Friend Koob.

Aiwendil: SOP for outside travel...

Aiwendil: Cast Animal Summon I every day. For Wolves

Aiwendil: When I get some... They travel with me all day and watch at night.

Aiwendil: I cast Speak to animals to tell them this.

Aiwendil: And I cast CLW on any that are wounded.

Abracon: understand....they don't want to enter the elf lands

Aiwendil: Fine, I don't want them to either EXCEPT

Aiwendil: Every morning I send them all away except for the biggest.

Aiwendil: Him or her I keep near so that when I cast the spell again, the big one will answer the call...

Aiwendil: even if no other wolves are around.

Aiwendil: This way I get to keep this one biggest one with me all the time.

Aiwendil: This Big Wolf I want to try to befriend.

Aiwendil: I'll cast Speak to animals multiple times.

Aiwendil: And touch the orb to it.

Aiwendil: And feed it good food.

Aiwendil: And bless it

Aiwendil: And hunt with it.

Aiwendil: I'll name him or her Friendly

Aiwendil: So that it will enter the Elf lands as my friend

Abracon: And he does....

Abracon: this might slow you down a bit

Abracon: add a extra day.

Aiwendil: I understand that I also have to cast ASI each day to keep my Wolf Friend Friendly.

Abracon [repeating from my turn]: I want to circle around the Elf lands and approach from inland. I will cast the Call Woodland Beings to attract my friend Koob the Centaur (double normal chance if I ask for him by name - plus the Elf God is a Nature God so I might get a bonus+10% to summon). I'll keep trying with repeated castings until I get him.

Abracon: how many CWB do u get a day?

Aiwendil: I'll take two the first day I try to summon Koob

Aiwendil: Then three the next day if it doesn't work.

Abracon: you get him on try 1 of day 2.

Abracon: he is not happy about the wolves

Aiwendil: I send all away but Friendly.

Aiwendil: I tell Friendly to be friendly

Abracon: still....this is not cool

Aiwendil: Why does he object?

Abracon: He objects because he usually shoots at wolves and I rolled it.

Aiwendil: I tell him this a specially blessed and Good wolf.

Aiwendil: Does he still object?

Abracon: He does not object any longer.

Abracon: But he tells you that that story may not fly in Elfland.

Aiwendil: He thinks the elves will not like a wolf in town.

Abracon: Some druids can get away with it....

Abracon: Do you get Animal Friendship?

Aiwendil: Nope. That's why I have to blow a Anim Sum I each day to keep Friendly friendly.

Abracon: how long does ASI last?

Aiwendil: Until the "mission" is carried out. I figure the mission (accompany and protect me)...

Aiwendil: can be renewed daily?

Abracon: understand

Aiwendil: It is a 4th level spell.

Abracon: You do not have to renew cwb however....you think that you can have only 1 active

Abracon: at a time.

Abracon: PLEASE

Abracon: REVIEW...

Abracon: YOUR TURN AND MODIFY....
