Adventurers of the Blue Tavern Inn Campaign
Due to the nature of the campaign, players rotate in and out. Here are some of the characters that have made an appearance in the Blue Tavern Inn Campaign.
Blue Tavern Inn Active Player CharactersPawn Shatterstar, a dragon rider, husband to Katrina. He is a man, seemingly in his mid-20s, wearing blue scale armor, helmet, shin pads, elbow pads, and gauntlets. He carries a huge, very ornate sword. His formal name is Pawn Shatterstar, Dragon Rider of the Knights of the Ice Talon. Since joining us, he has received as a gift of Inalkil a suit of black armor and a bastard sword -- and a baby blue dragon!
Katrina Kellara, a princess and mage, wife to Pawn. She usually has Silverwater with her, a 5-foot-tall silver dragon friend. Katrina has waist-length black hair that is in ringlets, with streaks that are metalic purple, almost silver. Her eyes are violet with many silver flecks, almost resembling stars.
Raie Goldwing, a tall winged elf paladin of Inalkil with a bonded giant leopard mount named Alys. Her wings are white with golden tapering on the edges. Her skin is golden brown; her hair, brown, and her eyes, hazel. Raie wears full metal armor; Alys has spiked leather barding. Raie's cape is sandy-yellow, and her surcoat is adorned with the symbol of a roaring leopard head.
Fraweol, a huge Wemic wearing leather armor, a shield, a very large sword, and a big floppy hat. He is a third-level warrior/priest.
Blue Tavern Inn Non-Player CharactersRaven the Black, a demigod and Chaos Lord. He is the leader and employer of the party (and is run by the Game Master). Raven has been known to create personal-size black fireballs. He is paying us very well.
Clive, an agent of Inalkil and Raven. He is a Chaos Lord. He described himself as Raven's Demolitionist at Dark Angel Keep. He wears black cloak. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He stand about 6'2", and he carries a metal stick, with a wooden handle, and a hole at the other end. We've seen him demonstrate a switchblade-sword with a black rose pommel. His mount is a flame-horse, named Sarah.
Blue Tavern Inn Campaign Inactive Player CharactersLyim Ravenmoon, of the Clan of the Silver Rose. He is a man who wears a hood that hides his face. Lyim carries a black staff and silver dagger.
Blade, a friendly Dark Elf warrior, master of long sword and long bow. He's 5'1 feet tall, black hair, 130lbs, and is 120 years old.
Papa Grande, a Pixie. Naturally invisible, he sometimes appears bright and colorful, dressed in bright blues and greens. He has silver moth wings.
Shadow, a Necromancer. He is 6 feet tall, white, dressed completly in a black armor, carrying a sickle of death and a full body sheild emblazoned with the sign of the god of death.
Alfredo Grubrustler, a male halfling in black baggy clothes and a large hooded black cloak. He is a master chef and a stealthy first-level thief.
Orion, a ravenkind who can fly. He knows how to farm, open locks, and move (and fly) silently. He has keen hearing and uses a gold bow and a dagger. His eyes sometimes change color.
The QuestThe campaign began in the Sand Dragon Inn, where Fraweol and several others first met the Demi-god, Lord Raven, who offered 3,000 gp to start off. Soon thereafter Lyim and Katrina joined us, and after extensive preparations the group travelled to Dragon's Gate Mountain, a journey that took a month.
Our job was to find the items on Raven's list (see below), and then to use them to knock down the force field protecting the thing that continues to kill the foliage in Naztuil's forest.
At the City of Dragon's Gate, several of our party deserted, evidently daunted by the immense mountain. Lord Raven himself was called away, but his friend, Clive, joined us. Clive, Fraweol, Lyim, and Katrina together travelled up the mountain.
The first thing on the list we obtained was snow from the highest peak of Dragon's Gate Mountain, the residence of Raven's friends, the gods Phoenix and Inalkil. We did this by winning a riddle contest with the Shining Sage, who lives at the top of the mountain. After the contest the Sage bestowed gifts, including the snow, and introduced to us a new comrade-in-arms, Pawn.
Then we had to locate a Blue Dragon Egg. We found a Blue Dragon lair near the Sage's home on Dragon's Gate Mountain. The two dragons living there were reluctant to part with an egg, so after a close fight, we were forced to kill the dragons. The battle was fierce, and Fraweol escaped death only because his new shield, a gift from the Sage, protects against dragon breath. We obtained this hoard from the slain dragons.
Weary after the battle with the dragons, the party stopped by the Sage's home and met several new comrades: Then we went to the city of Dragon's Gate to rest, train, and to Identify the magic in the dragons' hoard. At about this time, Princess Katrina and Pawn openly declared their love and were wed.
Then the company, traveling under the auspices and in the company of the Lord Sephiroth himself, passed through a portal to the Abyss, in which we sought the questing Fire. We entered a kind of vault or storehouse, and solved two puzzles to find the fire. As the campaign ended, the party had reached the fire and was about to battle many orcs for control of it.
