Above: Cayzle and Cookie out for walkies, 11:30 a.m. Beautiful warm day in October. Yes, Cookie was a very good boy, and that's a poop bag I'm holding with the leash.I have today off of work. You know how you take a day off, and then the next month, week, or, heck, day later you have no idea what you did with your time? That's me (and my notoriously bad memory). So I figured I would document the day. You know, it's my blog, and there's no one to say I can't! Skip this screed if you like, I won't be offended.
Midnight - 12:30 a.m. Launched a second play-by-post playtest for Labyrinths & Liontaurs.
12:30 - 5:30 a.m. Slept. Used my CPAP the whole time.
5:30 - 6:30 a.m. Made my wife's coffee and lunch. Moved the car. Laundry.
6:30 - 8:30 a.m. Slept. Dreamed it had rained, ceiling had leaked, rug was stained, water drips were everywhere. Ugh!
8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Moved car. Morning ablutions, breakfast (yogurt, apple). I recommend Mark Newheiser's take on Sanderson's Stormlight Archive.
9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Chores: organized junk drawer, emptied dishwasher, cleaned patio, scrubbed grill, more laundry, made bed, refilled paper products, emptied dehumidifier.
10:45 - 11:15 a.m. Restarted laptop, started this screed, got dressed.
11:15 - 11:45 a.m. Walked the dog, listening to the TPM Show podcast.
11:45 a.m. - Noon Added walkies photo to this screed.
Noon - 12:20 p.m. Wiped patio furniture, more laundry.
12:20 - 2:45 p.m. Went out and about for errands.
Picked up Belgian blocks for future labyrinth walls.
Went to my doctor's office for an insurance form. They could not find it.
Enjoyed Chinese food for lunch. Brought lo mein home for the kid.
Went to CVS to pick up Rx. They never got the order.
2:45 - 3:00 p.m. Made weekend plans with wife.
3:00 - 3:20 p.m. Rest break: read the Times, had a drink, updated this screed.
3:20 - 4:30 p.m. Washed Belgian blocks, blew out and tidied garage, blew out and cleaned up front yard after the nor'easter.
4:30 - 5:00 p.m. Got ready for evening out.
5:00 - 5:30 p.m. Drove to Harvest Moon Orchard for Cider Night.
5:30 - 6:00 p.m. Made a play-by-post playtest turn while listening to live music.
6:00 - 7:50 p.m. Enjoyed cider slushie and live music with wife.
7:50 - 8:20 p.m. Drove home.
8:20 - 8:35 p.m. Second walkies of the day. Cookie was a good boy again!
8:35 - 9:00 p.m. On Discord for pre-game chat.
9:00 p.m. - Midnight On Discord for the weekly live L&L playtest.
And that's a busy, fun, productive 10,420-step day off. Take that, Ferris!
